For one of our clients we are looking for a Sybase Engineer.

The Sybase Dev Engineer works in a DevOps team which consists of Dev Engineers and Ops engineers. The Dev Engineer is responsible for the design, development and test of applications, using the Scrum methodology and Continuous Delivery Engineering Practices.

General knowledge/experience:
Experienced with design, coding, testing, deployment of Sybase Databases.
Experienced to work in self organising teams in scrumsetting.
Preference: experiend in pairprogramming, code review, automated testing (tools and testscript developement ) and automated deployment(tools and scripting).

Sybase & Sybase IQ

Quick learner: understanding existing systems and used technology
Designing and developing (datawarhouse) applications

Description
Working in a development scrum team developing mainly interfaces between the Credit Risk datawarehouses and various applications. Working in short sprints resulting in production ready code. Working in a team, committing to results and continuous improving of performance of the team.

Working closely together with other scrumteams who are also working on the same product.

Tasks
Decompose backlog items into user stories and tasks together with the team.
Design and develop software and/or configure software packages.
Develop and maintain test cases and (automated) test scripts.
Develop and test of deployment scripts.
Write product documentation.

Responsibilities
Delivery of IT software changes according to sprint defenition.
With the team: continious improvement of the scrum team.
