For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for an Advisory Chief Information Security Officer


Description
- To be a guardian of the security of the bank and of the respect of Security related policies
- To help formulate and lead strategic plans for enhancing information security
- To build and support awareness for employees and customers
- To play a catalysing role in case of P1 security incident or crisis
- To represent the bank towards external parties (regulator, external auditor, Febelfin, etc.) concerning security topics.

An expert in the area of information security. The ideal candidate is a leader, a consensus builder, and an integrator of people and processes.

Key personal characteristics include:
- Ability to filter and synthesise a wide range of confidential information whilst able to focus on essentials and priorities
- Articulate, persuasive and able to communicate constructive criticism and information security related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences (including board level or regulator)
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, as well as outstanding negotiation and change management skills
- Ability to demonstrate success in influencing and decision-making
- Good project / time manager and able to delegate / follow-up tasks
- Passionate about (Cyber)security

Qualifications required:
- Master Degree is highly recommended
- CISSP and CISM are highly recommended
- CISA and other specific security certifications are considered useful
- Good knowledge of banking in all its aspects and how this relates to security

Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant Information Security experience
- Subject Matter Expert in the area of Information Security
- Knowledge of pertinent law
- Have experience with business continuity planning, security auditing, risk management as well as contract and vendor negotiation
- Experience in a financial environment is a plus
