    For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for several Agile Coaches.

    NOTE: Writing an essay, about a how you have improved the performance of a team by implementing Agile/Devops, will be part of the application.
    NOTE: Only payroll candidates or freelancers with a Uniforce Statement will be considered for the job. The client doesn’t accept Freelancers (eenmanszaken)

    The job
    You are a convincing and energizing Agile Coach who is passionate about communication, group dynamics and coaching. You are not afraid to raise issues and continuously drive behavioural change.
    You attend and support DevOps ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives and provide coaching for squad members, Product Owners and IT Area Leads. You are broadly recognized as a role model in the DevOps way of working and through your commitment and integrity you are a trusted advisor for everyone around you.
    You create a work environment with focus on continuous improvement and broad collaboration, where the common goal is twofold: delivering reliable infrastructure services to the consumer, and becoming a high performing agile organization.

    What you do (Capabilities)
    1. Facilitate adoption of and improvements in the DevOps way of working within squads and IT Areas
    a. Introduce DevOps way of working and rituals to squads and IT Infra Areas (e.g., through boot camps, workshops, trainings and 1-on-1 coaching)
    b. Support the setup of rituals and tools for squads
    i. Rituals like market place, sprint planning and retrospectives
    ii. Tools like visual management, maturity KPIs and Obeya rooms
    c. Continuously assess the maturity of squads along a standard DevOps maturity model, in order to close critical gaps and drive continuous improvement
    d. Produce and maintain training and workshop materials, and document best practices for Infra NL

    2. Support squads in achieving their mission
    a. Ensure key roles are familiar with their responsibilities and most important concepts – e.g. servant leadership for IT Area Leads, DoD and DoR for Product Owners
    b. Help squads refine their mission and translate it into implementable epics and user stories
    c. Support the definition of specific roles, responsibilities and deliverables within squads

    3. Drive broad collaboration and alignment between squads and their stakeholders
    a. Facilitate close alignment and ensure regular touchpoints across squads (e.g., PO alignment, marketplace) while coaching POs and Scrum Masters to take over such facilitation tasks
    b. Organize knowledge exchange across squads and IT Areas
    c. Coach squads, and particularly POs to build a regular dialogue with their consumers
    d. Guide problem-solving sessions to help the squads remove impediments

    Competencies – Skills
    1. Deep knowledge in DevOps and agile methodologies
    a. Mastery of the Scrum methodology (e.g. backlog and spring planning, review and marketplace)
    b. Expertise in Lean practices (e.g., waste identification, value-stream mapping, visual management)
    c. Expertise in DevOps way of working (e.g., continuous delivery, cross-functional team set-ups, development of cross-skilled squad members)
    d. Creative problem solving and ability to remove impediments in non-obvious ways
    e. Experience with working in high-performing agile or DevOps teams

    2. Broad understanding of technologies and consumer needs
    a. Working understanding of consumer context and needs
    b. High level knowledge across stack, technologies and ecosystems

    3. High level knowledge of coding or scripting languages and automation tooling
    a. Experience in coding or scripting tools like C++, Python or Bash
    b. Knowledge of virtualization environments and tools e.g., VMware, CloudForms
    c. Knowledge of system configuration and automation tools like Puppet, Chef or Ansible

    Your education and background
    a. Professional and intellectual IT ability at university level - at least Bachelor's degree
    b. Extensive experience in both engineering and leadership roles in Agile teams, e.g. as Scrum Master, Product Owner, DevOps Engineer
    c. Experience from working in high performing Agile teams
    d. Track record of increasing performance and organizational health by applying Agile and DevOps principles
    e. Track record of elevating DevOps maturity through training, coaching and change management
    f. Certifications and/or proven proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages
    g. Excellent command of spoken and written Dutch and English
