For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for an API Business Consultant.

Job description:
In this role, you will organise the business validation of the new API-based services and work on their commercial proposition. This involves the strategic and conceptual development of these new services in collaboration with the team and develop a framework for pricing and billing. You will be responsible for deliverables, such as validated business requirements, high level business cases and a plan for development and commercial launch of the services.

Your work environment:
You will be working in a very international and dynamic environment. You will be part of the program. Your direct team will consist of 2 to 3 people. Being part of the stream within the programme you will report to the stream lead.

Your profile:
You have experience in consulting, business development or product management. You have a strong business acumen and an extensive network. You worked in retail or services company (like Bol.com, booking.com, and similar), fintech, technology, or card schemes and payment companies. You are interested in innovation in financial technology. You have affinity with API & services concepts. You are able to communicate with stakeholders on different levels. You are entrepreneurial, while analytical and result-focused. You are a team player, comfortable with a changing and diverse environment. Furthermore, you adhere to the client values and it is evident for you that your behaviour is fully aligned with these values.

Skills required:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in consulting, business development or product management
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, experience in developing business cases
- Strong conceptual and strategic skills
- Skilled in stakeholder management and capable to communicate on different level – from senior business level to a technical level
- Experience in working in complex organisations / projects
- Strong communication and presentation skills, developed soft skills
- Affinity with concepts such as APIs and IT service models, generic technical knowledge
- Broad knowledge of banking products and services
- Fluent in English as well as in at least one other European language
