For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Full Stack Java Developer (API).

We work in Agile/Scrum DevOps teams. We are quickly becoming the technological driver by focusing on setting up a web-scale architecture in which high performing engineers work end-to-end agile. Resulting in for example the best mobile app for several years in a row. The purpose of tribe is to accelerate delivery of all squads (DevOps teams) and tribes (Departments), by providing “enablers”, that are easy to find, easy to use, and always reliable and secure.

This is what we want to provide in the future to our engineers. Currently we do this by delivering six highly integrated products: The Content platform, The Browser platform, The API platform, The Distributed Data platform, The Gateway/Proxy, Road2Production (incl. Continuous Delivery as a Service – CDaaS).

To make it easier to use these products, we are looking for someone to strengthen the Web Platform team. In this team, you are responsible for a resilient API platform that runs all the APIs that wire Continuous Delivery as a Service together. You will lead the platform team in technical solutions and keep the broader picture in mind. You will develop and maintain tooling to allow other teams to develop features on your platform, and coordinate integration of the CDaaS products. While helping these teams you’re able to gain great insights in the complex IT landscape of our organization. In the end, you make sure that teams improve their software delivery by using Continuous Delivery as a Service.

Profile:
- A Bachelor and/or Master degree in Information Technology
- At least basic knowledge of Continuous Delivery
- At least 6 years of Java development experience (knowledge of Scala is an advantage)
- A firm grasp of modern API design
- Experience in developing front-end frameworks such as AngularJS or Polymer
- Basic knowledge of resilience patterns such as failover, retry, and load balancing
- You lead others, or others look to you for guidance
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Team player with a knowledge sharing mentality
- A strong sense of delivering high quality software
- Hands-on mentality, high code contribution
- Knowledge of Java development tools like Git, Maven, Artifactory
