For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Lead Developer (Front-end/Java API).

Description:
The client is currently developing a scalable, resilient, web based platform ecosystem which will help their customers or prospects in their orientation journey on the housing-and mortgages market in the Netherlands. The Web component based application and Java APIs form the technical backbone of this forward thinking project. The team has recently started building the web application and will continuously release versions of this new digital platform for (increasingly larger) user groups. Our client is looking for an experienced software engineer with a full stack mindset who can step up and become a lead developer for this high paced project in the near future.

Job description:
- Develop fast, secure JavaScript / HTML components for the front-end application in Polymer (AngularJS knowledge is a pre)
- Develop Java based micro service APIs
- Continuous delivery: Bring the code to production (very, very) frequently
- Collaborate closely with other squad members and business representatives with clear and open communication
- Actively engage and take the lead in discussions concerning the full technical stack of the application (understanding the mechanics of the backend / API and Cassandra database)
- Write clear and concise documentation about the front-end and backend code

Profile:
- Solid Dutch and English communication skills, verbal as well as written
- Willingness to take a leading role in the team and having a mindset that resembles a lead developer
- Experience in product, platform or game development is a huge pre
- JavaScript and/or Java proficiency and proven project experience
- Polymer / Web components proficiency is a huge pre
- Work hard play hard mentality. No nonsense, hard-working individual
- Experience and full understanding of modern development concepts like dependency injection, transclusion, reactive programming, functional programming, shadow-dom, etc.
- Grasps the concepts of architecture, NoSql database technologies, is interested in more than only hin/her own specific field within programming
- Has worked with, or at least thoroughly understands the concepts behind other modern front end JavaScript frameworks or languages such as ReactJS, D3, Aurelia, Elm or similar
- Ability to communicate with business representatives in the team to clarify technical complexities
