For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for an Ops Engineer (Risk/DWH).

We are looking for a (junior-mid level) Ops Engineer to strengthen its operations team in the Risk Services Management domain. Your main focus:
- Improving stability, performance and reliability of the Credit Risk Datawarehouse applications.
- Life cycle management and maintenance of the platform.
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support to ensure stability and continuity of Credit Risk Reporting Services.
- Managing the Operational Control Dashboard of the Credit Risk Datawarehouse.
- Monitoring and Patching the Infrastructure
- Deployment of software solutions in cooperation with Dev engineers

In addition to managing software solutions, you will contribute to:
- Streamlining the end to end IT operation process of Credit Risk Datawarehouse team.
- Optimization of the service stability and continuity.

Your work environment:
You will work in the IT organization of Risk Management. In Risk management we have 3 focus areas: Corporate Credit Risk Management, Operational Risk management and Market Risk Management. You will be part of the Vortex team, delivering IT solutions and services for the Risk Services department. The Vortex teams operates according to a Scrum/Agile development process and are transforming into a DevOps team. The focus is on high-quality secure-critical software delivered in time. The key development technologies used are Sybase IQ (SQL) and Java based.

Profile (skills and competences):
- Your key competencies: excellent team player, persistent, service oriented, customer centric, eager to learn.
- You love to deep dive technology, searching for rootcauses of issues and incidents.
- Experience with monitoring end/or debugging and/or performance tuning of applications.
- Good knowledge of implementation of security measures
- Good knowledge of relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL) with the ability to apply it in the context of IT operations.
- Good knowledge of Operating System fundamentals with the ability to apply it in the context of IT operations.
- Knowledge of Database technology is a preference.
- Flexible with respect to working pattern/ hours.
- Great English communication skills, verbal as well as written.
