Omschrijving:
For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for an Ops Engineer (Tomcat/WebSphere/ITIL).

Profile:
IT (Master/Bachelor) technical degree.
Previous experience in an IT Production domain; relevant IT experience: 3 years and relevant domain experience: 2 years.
ITIL V3 Foundation- IT Service Management (ITSM).
Individual accountability and empowered to innovate, team spirit, good communication capabilities, open minded, rigorous and reliable.
Flexibility and availability out of the office hours are required to deploy changes in production (Release Management Process) or infrastructure lifecycle evolutions.
Experience with continuous delivery and automated testing.
Good knowledge of Tomcat and/or WebSphere and load blancing.
Experience with GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, TFS, and CA Release automation (Ansible, Nolio).
Good knowledge of Linux and Oracle.
Performance/Capacity/Availability Monitoring.
Knowledge of Agile methodology.
Great English communication skills, verbal as well as written.

Key responsibilities:
Scope of work would be related to deployments, patching, monitoring, investigating/fixing incidents, change management, risk controls.
Will also have to be in standby, as some promotes as well as DR exercises and some upgrades/patching need to be done outside business hours.
Needs to be on call if something crashes in the application (I don’t expect it, as it’s very stable, but still we need to cover this possibility).
