For our client in Leeuwarden we are looking for a Senior Java DevOps Engineer (Linux).

For our Document Management team in Leeuwarden we are looking for a creative, passionate IT engineer. The Document Management department is responsible for the development and maintenance of all applications with regard to document composition, print management, scanning / data capture and archiving. We are working with state of the art software packages.

For our Print Management team we are looking for a Dev Engineer. The print management team takes care for the automation of our Print Factory (paper output to our customers). This is partly done by inhouse created (Java) software and partly by a commercial software package (Ricoh Process Director) You will contribute to the team’s strategy of rolling out upgrades, creating new functionality and maintaining the platform (monitoring on performance, availability and security and maintaining the Continuous Delivery pipeline). Together with other Ops and Dev Engineers in your team you will work according to the Scrum methodology.

Your main tasks will be:
You will play an important role in the development of the software to support our physical output process. You therefore have deep Java knowledge and preferably have experience with Print Management (and are familiar i.e.with the AFP format). Furthermore you will participate in patching and releasing the software in two-week sprints. You advise and possibly start up new developments like the development of new software modules. You are participating in the further growth and implementation of Continuous Delivery tooling.

You actively participate in the Scrum process and in Continuous Delivery Engineering Practices. You will play a positive role within your DevOps team in order to let the team grow in experience and knowledge. As an IT DevOps Engineer at Document Management you and 5 other enthusiastic professional colleagues will work together in a DevOps team in Leeuwarden (The Netherlands) or from offshore. Delivering a generic service, it is important that you are proactive and be focused on delivering a continuously improvement of the domestic Dutch Customer Experience.

Technical Role Requirements:
Completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical IT study. We look for a generalist, someone who likes to participate both in the Dev and Ops role. You have at least 5 years’ experience:

- Linux environments such as Red Hat;
- Java and Java frameworks like Spring – senior level;
- Experience with working the databases like Oracle or Postgress;
- Preferably experience in the print management domain;
- Working according to the Agile/Scrum method as well as with the DevOps method and ITIL;
- Continuous Delivery tooling; e.g. Ansible, Jenkins, GIT;

Also, you are fluent in English, and are willing to learn Dutch. You live within travel distance of the area of Leeuwarden.
