For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Senior Unix AIX Administrator.

The squad which you will join focuses on maintenance & support of our AIX, SAS and Oracle based data warehouse systems. Important areas of attention are compliancy and security to keep the platforms stable and secure.
Important part of the work is supporting our end-users (data analists). On the side you will consult and support different stakeholders who have their own datamart applications running on the platform.

You’re outspoken in a spirit of constructive criticism. You are regarded a proficient Unix (AIX) admin and keep track of market developments. You have full command of the total “IT stack” and have a “production operations” mentality. You are precise and in control of the environment. Continuous improvement and an automation mind set are your second nature. You are able to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate with end users in a language that they understand.

Must haves:
- Experience as sys admin on unix AIX and shell scripting
- Experience with infrastructural components VIO / LPAR
- Experience with storage management systems (EMC / Symmetrix / VMax)
- Experience with backup management systems (TSM)
- Experience with monitoring (TSCM)
- Experience with networks
- Experience with scheduling software (Autosys / TWS)
- Experience with SAS BI tools (installation / patching)

Nice to have:
- Experience in working in Agile teams
- Experience in Business Intelligence
- Experience in automated provisioning (Ansible / Puppet)
