For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Data Specialist (ETL).

How are we organised?
The objective of the Reporting, Data & Analytics (RDA) department is to support the global Risk organisation with analytical capabilities, to provide insight into our risk profile through regular and ad-hoc comprehensive risk reporting to internal and external stakeholders and be the guardian of the risk data governance and data quality processes.

In the department RDA, the value stream Self Service Analytics (SSA) enables the Risk organisation maturing their analytical capabilities, provides insight in the available risk data and takes the leading role in driving rationalisation and standardisation of bank wide Risk reporting

The aim of the Model Paradigm Shift Program (MPS) is to improve the Risk modelling capabilities. Risk models are crucial for the competitive advantage. The MPS systems streams will develop and build new state of the art tooling to support our global Modelling community. The Purpose is to deliver standardized and globally supported, high-performing, secure, compliant and scalable environments aligned with existing our target infrastructure.

As a Dev Engineer / Data Specialist, you will be part of the MPS Systems workstream and in that role you will be responsible for the role out of new tooling and automation of the release management process and its associated artefacts and interfaces.

The Dev Engineer will provide high level as well as low level design for ETL. With your experience as an architect you come up with architectural improvements. You will help the team to improve the development practices and automation of the release process and will participate in the team’s Scrum processes..

What are you responsible for?
Develop and built the new modelling environment.
Work on Architectural improvements.

Your profile:
Broad experience with Open Source tooling (Python, R, kubernetes, etc).
Knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server technology is a preference.
Experience with SAS is a preference.
Experience with scripting languages and automation of manual activities (testing, deployment).
Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL) and data warehousing.
Your key competencies: excellent team player, persistent, service oriented, customer centric, eager to learn.
You love to deep dive technology, searching for root causes of issues and come up with structural solutions.Flexible with respect to working pattern/ hours.
Great English communication skills, verbal as well as written.
