For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Windows 7 Administrator.

Job description
Support application owners in making there (vendor supplied) software availabe on a new windows 7platform. This includes checking compiancly with the new platform, writing a installation manual, requesting the creation of a package, testing the package and submitting the change for deployement.

General and Technical knowledge/experience:
- Experience with the packaging process for (vendor supplied) applications which will be distributed by a software distribution system on a Windows platform.
- Experience with analysing and solving of issues
- Strong communication skills which enables the candidate to clearly communicate with application owners, project managers, process owners and the external supplier of the package factory.
- Experience with installing and testing (vendor supplied) application on a Microsoft Windows platform
- Experience with writing installation manuals for software
- Experience with scripting of applications Experience with Microsoft Windows7
- Experience with/ knowledge of SCCM
- Experience with/ knowledge of AppV is a pré

Skills required
Within limited time a lot of applications will need to be made availabe on the new platform. This means that:
- You should be able to quickly get acquainted with the organisation, environment and the packaging and deployment procedures.
- You should activily monitor the different steps in the process so that the planned dates are met and issue are identified quickly.

Your work environment
A new workplace platform is being introduced which will replace the current platform. Important features of the new platform are:
Windows7 operating system; Microsoft Office Suite 2013; Internet Explorer 10; Virtual Desktops (Citrix XenApp Server); Application virtualisation technology (App-V 5.0)In view of the planned migration to the new Windows 7 platform, all existing CEDS packages on the 'old W7' platform need to be tested on the new platform, processed by the 'external' packaging factory and then tested and deployed on the New Windows 7 platform.
