for our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for Elastic Stack Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux)

The department
The purpose of the department is to build and run the target infrastructure platform in a (private) cloud delivery model. This delivery model is based on multi-tenant, self-service, pay-per-use capabilities for application DevOps teams as defined in our One Way of Working.?We deliver services for our clients engineers worldwide, and onboarding new countries to our private cloud happens all the time.
Tribe Cloud comprises five Global Areas:?
• Infrastructure as a Service?
• Data Services
• Platform as a Service
• Cloud API Platform?
• Onboarding and Customer Experience?

The ELKaaS service that we offer is part of the Area Data Services. While the Area Data Services consists of colleagues working in the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Germany and India, the 5 engineers currently working on ELKaaS all work in Germany. As our client appreciates the idea of working from home, there is absolutely no requirement to be based in Germany to fulfil this position. However, it would make sense to physically meet up with the team in Germany once in a couple months. And of course, you will also be invited to our yearly internal cloud conference in Amsterdam.

Your Tasks
Your toolbox is the ELK stack that we offer as a service (ELKaaS) towards our clients DevOps teams worldwide: you develop and support global, containerised solutions for log file monitoring and metrics analysis, record and recognize dependencies to other systems and processes, and your team can count on your IT knowledge and process understanding. Our containerized ELKaaS offering runs on Openshift4 on our private cloud but we are also investigating the opportunity to move it to the public cloud. All changes are done via our Azure DevOps pipeline(s). The ELKaaS service is gaining popularity and it is more and more being integrated into core systems of the client, meaning that standby shifts (occasionally) will be part of the job in the future.

Profile of our ideal new colleague
You don't have to tick all boxes, but if you recognize yourself in some of these things make sure to apply!
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Elastic Stack and Linux is important. Ideally also experience with Kafka and Streaming, as well as with system monitoring.
• Experience with agile software development (agile/scrum) and DevOps methods; in dealing with configuration management and continuous integration, plus knowledge of Azure DevOps, Prometheus, Ansible, Jenkins, Groovy, Job-DSL, Unix Shell and automated testing, GIT
• Enjoys working in an international team, with travel once in a couple weeks/months
• Proficient English language skills is a must have, both written and spoken
