For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a competent Java Developer with experience in automated testing.

The squad is a DevOps team responsible for rebuilding of Mainframe applications in a Java/Linux environment in the Private Cloud. Scrum, Agile and Continuous Integration / Delivery are very important within our Area. Our squads are becoming more mature in (automated) testing and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery, but there is still room for improvement.

Job description:
Our squads are multidiscipline squads which means the squad is overall responsible. Besides helping us with testing the new functionalities and the improvement and realization of test automation, we need your help with developing the new Java applications. You work closely with other teams that are also involved in Mainframe applications and automated testing. You take initiative in coordinating dependencies with others and you feel responsible for the quality and availability of our applications.

We try to simplify this in a fast pace so that current and future changes in our applications can be implemented quickly and efficiently. Our focus is on high-quality mission-critical software delivered in time using iterative development, so that at the end there are no surprises about what we build or decommission.

- You are curious and understand the latest developments in the technical and financial services.
- You have a broad experience with testing and test-automation
- You are an experienced Java developer

- You have a good understanding of banking in general or you are passionate about learning it. You are able to discuss with your stakeholders and product owner about features and user-stories and can translate these into software with real business value.
- You have excellent analytical skills and are able to determine the impact of certain choices.

Technical experience/capabilities:
Mandatory:
- Java, Polymer
- Testing and automated test tools
- Broad experience in technical testing
- Knowledge about Databases (Oracle, SQL)

Preferred:
- Experience with Agile Way of Working
- Knowledge about Ansible, Maven, GIT, Jenkins, Selenium
- Experience in financial environment
- Foundation Certification in Software Testing (ISTQB and/or T-Map)
