    Omschrijving:
    For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a MS-SQL Specialist with MS-BI knowledge.

    Within the department we will start to provide the Microsoft (Power) Business Intelligence service towards our (internal) Consumers. This represents the complete stack of capabilities including: SQL Server 2012, Analysis Services, Integration Services, Reporting Services and SharePoint 2013. In the near future we will deliver the more capabilities on SQL 2016 like delivering Database as a Service. We are looking for a SQL specialist who has MS-BI experience.

    Responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
    - Design, build and provide SQL and MS BI services and guidance to the organization how to use our SQL and MS BI services.
    - Configuring/Maintain our SQL and MS BI services
    - Working together with database developers and others in the PAAS engineering team to come up with strategic solutions to database related application issues.

    Environment:
    The candidate will work in a highly motivated and experienced MS-SQL DEV-OPS team based on a SCRUM work method. You will participate in the Stand-by duty providing a 24/7 hour service towards our internal consumers.

    Profile:
    - The candidate has 2-3 years of Experience supporting MS-SQL Databases and specific on Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions. Microsoft BI engineer with demonstrating experience working with business and technical teams to determine data approaches required to support business solutions.
    - A service oriented mentality, high sense of taking ownership of the problems and requests assigned.
    - The ability to work on multiple application development projects serving in both a hands on and advisory capacity.
    - The ability to work in an Agile team environment is critical.
    - Skills in Developing reporting, data visualization, self-service Business Intelligence including analytics and dashboard solutions.
    - Define and implement standards of governance surrounding the business intelligence solutions

    Skills required:
    - Experience with MS-SQL and MS BI components; including the ability to design new services based on these products.
    - Experience in troubleshooting and resolving SQL MS BI availability issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, connectivity issues, security issues.
    - Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
    - Knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, DBCC commands, Always On and other HA solutions.
    - Knowledge about implementing operational automation and Self-Serv services for consumers of the SQL-Stack
    - Solid acquaintance with Windows Server, security delegation, SPNs, storage components.
    - Documentation skills for processes and procedures (creating guidelines and user documentation)
    - Exposure to SharePoint and SharePoint administration
    - Demonstrated experience working with data security and fine grained user access of data repositories
    - Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and business teams
    - High-energy, detailed-oriented, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results
    - Experience with working on an Agile/ Scrum basis.
    - Some Experience/ knowledge with other BI/ Analytics/ presentation tools like Hadoop, SAP, Tableau
