For our client in Leeuwarden we are looking for a Java IT Dev Engineer for team xPression.
For our Document Management teams we are looking for creative, passionate IT engineers.
The Document Management department is responsible for the development and maintenance of all applications with regard to document composition, print management, scanning / data capture and archiving. We are working with state of the art software packages from OpenText.
As part of thexPression team you will have a crucial role in managing high volume document design of different types of documents (like statements, mortgages letters) for the customers.
You will be responsible for developing and supporting applications/tools for the business partners with 7*24 availability. You will contribute to the team's strategy of rolling upgrades and maintaining performance, availability, monitoring, security and Continuous Delivery pipeline. Together with other Ops and Dev Engineers in your team you will work according to the Scrum methodology.
ThexPression team within the Document Management department is responsible for the development, lifecycle management and operations of xPression and its related components. They also develop and maintain several Java applications and API's on WebSphere and Tomcat.
Your main tasks will be
Developing and implementing API's (currently Java) in two-week sprints.
Helping the team to onboard the CDaaS build and deploy pipeline, including GitLab, Nolio, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, Fortify, etc.
You actively participate in the Scrum process and in Continuous Delivery Engineering Practices.
You will play a positive role with your DevOps team growing the experience and knowledge within your team.
As an IT Dev Engineer at Document Management you and 9 other enthusiastic professional colleagues will work together in a DevOps team in Leeuwarden (The Netherlands) and occasionally in Amsterdam. Delivering a generic service, it's important that you are proactive and be focused on delivering a continuously improvement of the domestic Dutch Customer Experience.
Technical Requirements
- Java and knowledge of frameworks, libraries and tools like, Spring Web MVC, JAXB, JDBC, Maven, JUnit, Cucumber, Json, Servlets and JSP's
- WebSphere and Tomcat application server;
- Experience with API development (RIAF and TPA) is an (huge) advantage
- Working in a Document Management environment is an advantage
- Experience with Polymer is an advantage
- Linux environments such as Red Hat
- Continuous Delivery tooling (CDaaS); e.g. Nolio, Jenkins, GIT
- Working according to the Agile/Scrum method as well as with the DevOps method and ITIL
- You have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in a technical IT study
- Also, you are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and in writing
