For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a senior Ops enigneer.

Job description
You are an experienced IT Engineer with extensive IT & business knowledge in the area of supporting Fixed Income & Securities Financing solutions. You will support both IT and business stakeholders, being responsible for the incident free service delivery that add value to the business. Your work includes performing impact analyses of new system features, interacting with vendors, contributing to IT risk mandatory application controls, and collaborating with other engineers to solve problems and enhance the system. As part of a squad you work in an Agile/Scrum way, on the backlog prioritized by a Product Owner, and you demo the features to other colleagues and the stakeholders.

- Supporting large scale critical banking application
- Monitoring of critical jobs and processes
- User and Access management for banking application
- Providing support in deploying an application in acceptance and production
- Contributing to Incident, Problem and Change Management, including help in structural solution for reoccurring problems
- Supporting end users with functional/non-functional queries
- Support/Maintenance of application’s IT Infrastructure

Profile
- 5+ years of hands on work experience with any securities trading system in the bank
- You have a positive attitude, you think in solutions
- You enjoy new technologies and methods and transferring them into new ideas and possibilities
- You are always trying to improve your skills, to continuously learn and get better at what you do to be able to deliver the highest quality
- You are a team player, it is about the team, you trust others and can be trusted
- Base location is Amsterdam, open to travel for training/coaching
- Working domain knowledge of Fixed Income trading, Securities Financing products
- Assist and provide (FO, MO, BO) functional support to users in deal capture, mid-life actions, breaks analysis & suggest remedy actions
- Experience with ION trading platform / Anvil is a big plus
- Available for 24/5 standby support
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (Change/Problem/Incident Management)
- Working knowledge of Service Now or similar tools
- Experience with Agile/Scrum
- Working knowledge on CD/CI tools such as version control system(Git), Robot framework, Jenkins & Ansible
- Experience in UNIX & Windows shell scripting, supporting applications with SOA distributed components architecture
- Working knowledge of SQL/Oracle
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Good verbal and writing skills in English
