For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for an Senior Ops engineer (Monitoring/Scripting).
We are looking for an experienced engineer to help us improve the reliability of the Test and Acceptance environments of the chain.

Work description
- On a daily basis, monitor the availability of the Test/Acceptance environments including chain over multiple teams.
- Align with other teams about improvements in the chain
- Improve communication about events/incidents in the chain and towards the internal consumers of the environments
- Improve monitoring and alerting for Test/Acceptance environments

Your work environment
-You will work together with other Dev and Ops Engineers in a team developing and operating authentication applications, both for web as for mobile. Your focus in the team will be the Test and Acceptance environment reliability.
-Goal of assignment is to help in IT operations of Test and Acceptance environments, and improve it, so that after the assignment the amount of work involved is significantly lower, and reliability is improved.
-We operate according to the Agile way of working.

Desired skills & experience
- IT (Master/Bachelor) technical degree.
- Proven track record in IT Operations role, highly preferably within the finance sector
- Good experience of well-known monitoring tools (such as Elastic/Kibana, Prometheus/Grafana) as well as dashboard creation.
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby).
- Able to work under pressure and to build alliances over teams.
- Basic knowledge of Scrum / Kanban and Agile methodologies.
- Good English communication skills, verbal as well as written.
