For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for an Ops Engineer (ITIL, ELK, Kafka, Azure)

We are looking for an Ops engineer with a drive to help us mature our Streaming Data Analytics platform as part of the bigger Platform that enables us to become a truly global player.
Streaming Data Analytics (SDA) is a platform developed internally aimed at getting real time insights based on real time data. The underlying technology is based on Apache Flink and Apache Kafka deployed using Microsoft DevOps on a Openshift cluster on our internal private cloud. Users of the platform are other teams, spread across various domains and countries, that use the SDA platform for purposes like fraud detection, KYC and generating realtime actionable insights.

Work description
As an Ops engineer you will work with a multidisciplinary squad of DEV and OPS engineers and will be responsible to improve the platform experience of our consuming teams starting at their onboarding process throughout their entire lifecycle. You use feedback from consuming teams, your own team, metrics and logs from the system as input to further improve the scalability and resilience of the platform. You either implement the improvements yourself and/or work with your team members of the SDA squad.

Profile
Communicative, articulative, pro-active, team-player and easy to approach.
Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent
ITIL knowledge (Incident, Problem and Change Management)
ELK stack
Kubernetes / Openshift
Kafka
Azure DevOps
Proficient in one or more scripting languages
Good working knowledge of Unix

Mentoring and training consumers in the use of our platform
Facilitation skills

Mindset & soft skills
Willingness to do a deep dive into the internals of Apache Flink
